Rachel has been writing songs since 2004. She writes folk songs, accompanied by acoustic guitar, about love, loss, inspiration and hope. Rachel's song writing style is influenced by popular artists Missy Higgins, Kurt Nilsen, Rob Thomas, Laura Marling and more.

Since graduating from Newtown High School of the Performing Arts in 2006, Rachel started writing more than ever before. She then became a resident performer at The Log Cabin, The Nepean Waterside Restaurant in January 2007; this gave her an opportunity to not only perform on a regular basis, but also expose her talent as a young singer/songwriter.

During 2007 and 2008 Rachel performed at numerous weddings, functions, parties and other events; giving her further opportunity to perform her own material until she started being approached by agents and other people in the industry.
In 2009, Rachel began performing her original music regularly in pubs, clubs, hotels and local restaurants;  selling CDs that would then spread her voice and name to families and businesses all over Sydney.

Rachel released her first cover album, 'Aperitif' in 2007 and has just released her first original album, 'LIVE in the Studio', early June 2009 in hopes to share her original music with music lovers all over Sydney.

You can catch Rachel performing every Saturday at her local restaurant or busking in the streets of Sydney. For information on upcoming performances in venues all over Sydney, visit her gigs page for times and dates.
